Germany. I flew home.

I believe that is Wall of Voodoo's Marc Moreland on the left
and it s Andy Prieboy on the right with their fancy jackets.
This was in Australia around 1986

Mike with Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy.

It was the end of a Thin Lizzy/Graham Parker tour. I had rented an
empty, under-construction loft in Chicago for a post-tour party. Part
way through the party I had two trays of whipped cream pies rolled into
the middle of the room.
Melee broke out, but I escaped getting creamed (mainly by hiding behind
my then pregnant wife) until Phil, who was a great friend, spotted my
clean face. He came at me with a big grin on his black Irish face. The
photo is the result.

P
hoto was taken by Pamela Springsteen (Bruce's sister) at Severin
Browne's house, complete with chapel, court yard etc. Supposedly Jackson
grew up there.

"it was all just to hang out"....
Mercury Records had the soundtrack to "Play Misty For Me" and I heard Clint was in Chicago. So I set up a photo session "for the trades" and went over with the head of promotion. I did get the shot in the trades, but of course it was all just hang out with Clint for a couple of hours. Cool guy. You can't tell in the photo, but he was kind of a bad dresser.

Too bad this isn't in color. He was wearing a canary yellow suit with canary yellow boots. We had just escaped from a pool hall and were on our way to a movie. Rod was getting famous, but not a household name yet. At the theater, as we walked in I overheard an usher say "Well, look at her and her girlfriend". Maybe it was my salmon colored pants.

Mike with the late great Roy Orbison.
